Description: The BCC is an initiative of the Filipino American Development Foundation (FADF). The FADF was "founded in 1997 to develop initiatives and resources to strengthen the social, physical, and economic well being of the Filipino-American community in San Francisco." Besides, the physical space for community events and programs, the BCC also sponsors Galing Bata (after school program), Filipino Mental Health Initiative (FMHI) (mental health services for Filipinos), the annual parol festival (cultural initiatives), and SOMA Pilipinas (community development).
